I obtained my medical degree in 2003 from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Szeged. Following graduation, I worked as a researcher at the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology Centre and at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy. My primary research interests focused on myocardial contractility and the development of ventricular arrhythmias.
I earned my PhD degree in 2008, after which I began working as a resident in Internal Medicine at the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology Centre. Following a successful application, I worked for two years until 2011 at the cardiovascular research laboratory of the Montreal Heart Institute, supported by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
After returning to Hungary, I rejoined the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology Centre, where I expanded my previous research interests toward sports cardiology. Alongside my clinical practice, I coordinate and lead animal experimental and human studies. Following the award of several competitive research grants, I obtained board certification in Internal Medicine in 2014, and in Cardiology in 2018. In 2019, I acquired the Transthoracic Echocardiography licence.
In recent years, my professional interest has also expanded into the field of cardiology–diabetology. Currently, several clinical studies in this area are being conducted under my supervision by PhD students and undergraduate student researchers. Since 2015, I have been leading outpatient specialist clinics in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
My patients consult me with a wide range of cardiovascular complaints, including cardiac arrhythmias, sports cardiology–related issues, and cardiology–diabetology, as well as conditions covering nearly the entire spectrum of cardiology.
